Leadership development is essential to the long-term health of all Associations which led to this relaunch of this unique program in Oregon after a three year hiatus. Through the program, the Association identifies emerging Realtor leaders, motivates them, and sharpens their leadership skills. Following completion, the Association expects graduates to exert a strong, positive influence on the future of the Association and the real estate profession.
Launched in 2004, the Academy is a six-month, three-session training and development program held in locations across Oregon. Realtor members who serve or hope to serve in leadership roles at the local and state level are encouraged to apply. During the retreats participants combine individual study and group sessions to develop their leadership skills. Retreat topics include leadership theory, personal application, and fundamentals of Realtor association structure.
The Oregon Association of REALTORS® was established in 1932 to organize the real estate profession in Oregon. Today, the Association is a force for education and a business and legislative advocate for free enterprise and private property rights in Oregon, serving over 14,000 members throughout the State.
